The Grave of Kitty Jay
A ghost haunts a home in Dartmoor. A wicked, despicable spirit who is terrifying a family day and night. You'll need to watch the program to see how this haunting resolves itself.
Then there is Kitty Jay, a young girl between the ages of 16-22, an orphan girl who became pregnant and hanged herself. Flowers mysteriously appear daily at her grave which is located in the middle of nowhere.
Other haunted residences involving a clergyman and a woman appearing from out of the 18th or early 19th century, and whose names appear in the record of deeds - proving that these two people once existed.
Dartmoor has lots of roaming spirits - those who refuse to move on. My advice: Go to Dartmoor and experience these apparitions firsthand, and say hello to Kitty while you're there.....
Hauntings in Dartmoor
This Ghosthunters series explores supernatural phenomena in parts of England. In this episode, viewers learn about some mysterious occurrences in Dartmoor. There's a haunted house, a grave at a crossroads that's said to be the resting ground of a young girl named Kitty Jay who died tragically and whose grave has fresh flowers placed upon it even in terrible weather, though no one knows who does it, and then there's an old residence, one of the oldest in Dartmoor which is said to harbor the spirits of several people, including a reverend. There's really nothing creepy about these stories and I found the documentary interesting more because of the stories of olden days, and the cinematography of these old places is really beautiful.
